New Cell Phone App Helps Report Civil Rights Abuse in N.C.

News Record – The American Civil Liberties Union unveiled a smartphone app Tuesday that allows users to send the organization videos of suspected civil rights violations by police. “We are launching something that’s going to help people document civil rights abuses when they occur,” said Carolyna Manrique, a staff attorney with the ACLU of North Carolina. “We know these abuses are occurring all over the country.”
