Martin is the second college leader in his family. His father, Harold Martin Sr., is the chancellor of N.C. A&T State University and a former chancellor of Winston-Salem State University.
Martin Jr.’s appointment at Morehouse follows the recent death of William J. “Bill” Taggart, the Atlanta college’s former interim president who passed away unexpectedly earlier this month.
